At First Tee Utah we teach character values and life skills such as responsibility, honesty, confidence, and perseverance – values that give young people the tools they need to succeed on and off the course, young people like Kayla.
When Kayla came to us many years ago she mostly wanted to hit golf balls. She didn’t understand the connection between golf and character values and life skills. Now she’s not only succeeding at the advanced certification levels in The First Tee programming, but she’s volunteering to help the younger kids learn what she has learned. Her dad sums it up best:
